Rowanberries are a striking wild fruit found across Northern landscapes—bright, bitter, and deeply seasonal. Foragers usually collect them after the first frost, when their sharpness softens and the colour deepens to a vivid orange-red.
●
Traditionally used in jams, syrups, and tinctures, rowanberries have long been valued for their astringent, slightly sour flavour and symbolic associations with protection and transition. In this blend, their intensity is grounded by mineral-rich clay salt—creating a layered seasoning that feels both ancient and new.
●
This salt nods to the rowan’s place in folk medicine and forest mythology—bringing a flash of wild fruit and a trace of ritual to whatever it touches.
