Domestic Monuments, a new series of sculptural furniture and functional forms made entirely from hempcrete — a sustainable biocomposite of hemp hurds (shives) and lime. Used since ancient times for its strength, lightness, and breathability, hempcrete’s tactile, porous surface carries the subtle warmth of living material. Traditionally a construction medium, here it is reimagined for object design, where its stone-like texture, durability, and carbon-negative profile meet sculptural form.
